Catholic Students Scholarship Program

The Hernando-Citrus Society of St Vincent de Paul Scholarships are funded by memorials made in honor of deceased Vincentians and also special contributions. The Society wishes to help Catholic students in need continue their educations in Catholic schools.

    Requirements for a $1,000 scholarship are:
  • Must have completed 8th grade at Notre Dame Interparochial School
  • Must reside in Hernando or Citrus County
  • Must have maintained a minimum 3.2 GPA
  • Must plan to attend Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School
  • Must have documented record of community service
  • Must complete a 500 word essay.
  • **Awards are also considered for previous winners to continue their educations as money allows.

    Substance Abuse Scholarship Program

    The Substance Abuse Scholarship Program has been in existence more than a decade. It is financed with interest accrued from a generous bequest of a St Vincent de Paul benefactor, as well as matching funds from St Petersburg College. The program, administered by the College, provides eight to ten scholarships of varying dollar amounts every year to qualified candidates who, upon successful completion of courses at the college, are awarded Associate in Science degrees in Human Services making them eligible to apply for certification as Addiction Professionals.
